Meeting with NGO sector representatives
Deputy Auditor General of the State Audit Office Ekaterine Ghazadze and Head of the Financial Monitoring Service of Political Parties Zurad Aznaurashvili held meeting with the representatives of 9 local and 2 international non-governmental organizations within the framework of the advisory commission working on the transparency and legality of monitoring of political finances. Namely, the following organizations took part in the meeting:

- Civil Society and Democracy Development Center
- International Center for Democratic Initiatives
- International Center for Civil Culture
- New generation for democratic Georgia
- New Generation - Democratic Elections
- Institutional Development and Monitoring Center
- Human Rights Center
Interim report of monitoring of the local 2017 self-government elections, statistics of donations and expenses were discussed at the meeting, namely:
- Study and questioning process of donors that carried out donations in October;
- 17 complaints/information received regarding alleged violation of legislation and activities carried out by the State Audit Office;
- Ongoing process of information submitted by electoral subjects and 123 administrative protocols on violation of the law compiled in pre-election period due to non-submission of information;
- Analysis of expenditures and revenues of electoral subjects, from the date of the call of elections including October 21, during 60-day period.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on the continuation of future cooperation in monitoring of election finance as well as in enhancing transparency of political finances and development of the service.
