Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe/ Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights OSCE/ODIHR Mission at the State Audit Office supports effictive monitoring of political finances.

Outcomes:

• As a result of recommendations made by the OSCE / ODIHR election observation mission, changes have been made to the legislation on political finance, monitoring of election campaigning and political finance monitoring has been improved.
• At a meeting organized by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) and the Open Society Forum, representatives of political monitoring organizations of Latvia, India and Georgia shared their experiences among participating countries.
